Samsung, Motorola, Huawei, OPPO, and Vivo have all released flip phones with foldable displays in the Chinese market. Xiaomi is the only mainstream brand that hasn’t done so. There have been some rumors that Xiaomi is now gearing up to launch a flip phone. In a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed new details about Xiaomi’s foldable display phones arriving in 2024.

Reports have revealed that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will be announced in July or August this year in China. There is no word on the global release of the device. In the home market, the device will compete with the upcoming OPPO Find N3 and the Vivo X Fold 2. According to the tipster, Xiaomi will release its first flip phone with a foldable screen in 2024.

The tipster revealed that the Xiaomi MIX Flip with the shortened model number N17 and the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 with the N18 model number will debut in 2024. Both devices will feature the Snapdragon 8 series chip. In the comments section of the same Weibo post, the tipster revealed that the MIX Flip will come equipped with a Snapdragon chip. At present, there is no additional information available about the MIX Flip.

So far, Xiaomi has launched two foldable phones, the Xiaomi MIX Fold and the MIX Fold 2. Reports have revealed that the MIX Fold 3 will offer several upgrades over the predecessor models.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1 TB of storage. It will be lighter and thinner than previous models.
