Xiaomi Launches the Redmi 12 Smartphone in Thailand: Features iPhone Like Rear Camera Design
Xiaomi has launched its latest Redmi 12 smartphone in Thailand. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 processor and features a premium glass back with iPhone-like rear camera design.

Redmi 12 Launched in Thailand
Xiaomi launched the Redmi 12 smartphone in the Portuguese market early this month and following its launch in Portugal, the smartphone has now been launched in Thailand. The newly launched smartphone is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset with a primary clock speed of 2.0 GHz and runs on the Android 13-based MIUI 14 custom user interface. The device is also integrated with the Arm Mali-G52 GPU.
Three storage variants of the smartphone have been made available in Thailand, with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 internal storage. 4GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB are the storage options made available to the customers.
For its display, the latest smartphone has a 6.79″ FHD+ dot display, with a screen resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels and a screen density of 396 PPI. Its display also has a contrast ratio of 1500:1, a colour gamut of 70% NTSC and a peak brightness rate of 550 nits. The display is also SGS low blue light certified and supports reading mode 3.0 and AdaptiveSync display.
Coming to its cameras, at its rear, the device features a triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, a front-facing camera of 8MP is also provided.
The latest Redmi 12 smartphone is also backed by a 5000 mAh battery and supports a fast charge feature of upto 18W, offering its users a decent battery life and a lesser charging time.
Only the 8GB/128GB storage variant is listed for purchase and is now available at an exciting launch price of ฿5,299 (about Rs. 12,529) from its actual list price of ฿5,999 (about Rs. 14,189). Three colour choices of the smartphone are also offered and users can pick from Midnight Black, Polar Silver and Sky Blue colours.
