Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone tipped to feature Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner

Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone which has already bagged certification from EEC, and IMEI and has been part of numerous reports. Recently a leak said that the smartphone can be launched in the second quarter of next year. A report also revealed that the handset can be backed by a 5,500 mAh battery.

Now a new update has come in this regard. A reliable tipster named DCS recently wrote on Weibo (Via) that Xiaomi 14 Ultra is testing an Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner. The tipster also wrote that it may or may not come with the handset.

 

Ultrasonic fingerprint sensors are usually seen in flagship-level smartphones usually, they can even work when your fingers are wet or oily. It’s more secure and faster than other sensors.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is tipped to come with four 50 MP cameras on the back. As with the Pro and standard models of the Xiaomi 14 series, the Ultra model will also arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It can run the HyperOS-based Android 14 version.
