Xiaomi 14 Ultra hands on image leaked for the first time, it can come with periscope telephoto camera

Xiaomi 14 series which has already been launched in the home market can soon witness the launch of a new smartphone. This is the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone which has been part of numerous leaks and reports. Now, images of a new phone that is claimed to be Xiaomi 14 Ultra have surfaced online. These images have been posted by a tipster named Jim Zhang on CoolApk, a Chinese marketplace for apps. The smartphone appears to be in a protective case held in the user’s hand which suggests it’s still a prototype unit.

If you look closer, you will find a square-shaped cutout on the rear panel that reveals the periscope telephoto lens for optical zoom that can accompany the phone. The prototype is held in such a way if someone is trying to capture the shots which might mean Xiaomi is busy testing Xiaomi 14 Ultra camera capabilities. One of the images also shows the similar camera app interface as Xiaomi flagships.

The company has not yet revealed any details about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone though a significant amount of information has been tipped. Recently a DCS named tipster on Weibo wrote that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra can feature a Sony LYT 900 sensor. He also mentioned that its f/1.63 aperture will be equivalent to the full frame aperture of f/4.3 that we usually get to see on DSLRs. It is tipped to feature a 50MP main camera with three additional 50 MP cameras with large aperture and new hardware tuning standards.

If we talk about the timeline of its launch it can be speculated that Xiaomi takes at least three to four months to launch the Ultra model after launching the series. And keeping that in mind it won’t be wrong to say that Xiaomi can launch the smartphone in March month of this year in China. As of now, this smartphone has made it to the EEC and IMEI database.
