Vivo X Flip specifications leaked well before launch

Vivo is likely to announce the Vivo X Fold 2 as the world’s first foldable phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in April in China. The Vivo Pad 2 tablet may debut alongside the X Fold 2. It is also speculated that Vivo’s first flip phone with a foldable screen, which is tentatively dubbed the Vivo X Flip, will also launch at the same event. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to leak the key specifications of the X Flip.

The leak suggests that the Vivo X Flip will have a 6.8-inch OLED display that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be a foldable display with a center punch hole. It will have a square-shaped secondary display on the back, but its exact size has not been revealed.

Under the hood, the Vivo X Flip will have the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and 12 GB of RAM. It will house a 4,400mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging.

The back panel of the Vivo X Flip will have a round camera module at the upper-left corner. It will include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 primary camera and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 ultra-wide snapper. For security, it will have a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Vivo is expected to start teasing the X Flip’s arrival in the home market as early as next week.
