Upcoming Nothing Phone 2a PVT unit images leaked online; key specs revealed

Nothing is said to launch its next smartphone- Nothing Phone 2a at the upcoming MWC Barcelona Event which is supposed to be held in early 2024. Since the start of this month, there have been a number of reports that revealed quite a few details about this upcoming device while the Nothing fans have been eagerly waiting to hear about the launch date of this device.

Ahead of this launch date announcement, tipster @heyitsyogesh has shared Nothing Phone 2a PVT unit images which have leaked online that shed light on the key specs of the device and its design.

Unlike the previous two smartphones introduced by Nothing, Nothing Phone 2a seems to arrive with a totally different back design and a redesigned Glyph interface which is something new for Nothing fans. However, the Glyph controls are revealed to be similar to that of Nothing Phone (2). The front side of the device features a punch-hole cutout.

If we talk about the specifications, the tipster and the leaked images suggest that the smartphone might be powered by Dimensity 7200 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It could sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that arrives with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The upcoming device is said to pack up a 50MP dual camera setup and a 16MP front camera. It may run on Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14.

The tipster also mentioned that the device is expected to be priced at $400.

However, to know the exact specs and launch date of Nothing Phone 2a we do need to wait for the official confirmation. As the above image also shows that the device will be backed by a 1000 mAh battery which is clearly not what previous reports revealed. In the coming days, we might get to hear about more updates regarding this upcoming smartphone.
