Even if the leaked image looks similar to the Sony Xperia 1 IV smartphone released last year, there is some significant changes made to the camera module of the upcoming smartphone.

The first noticeable change is regarding the RGB IR sensor and the ToF camera which have been taken out from the device. The LED flash which was placed outside the camera island in the Sony Xperia 1 IV smartphone has also been placed inside the camera island in the upcoming smartphone.

The users will be offered a triple camera setup in the upcoming smartphone and as you can see, the two cameras other than the periscope camera is larger than the cameras used in the Sony Xperia 1 IV smartphone which ensures that the upcoming device will offer better cameras than its previous model.

The NFC logo can also be seen on the rear panel towards the right side of the camera module indicating that the leaked image is the image of the Sony Xperia 1 V smartphone for the Global market. The smartphone would have had the Felica logo, if it was made only for the Japanese market.

You can also find the Sony branding on the rear panel as well towards the middle in a centrally aligned manner.
