The most talked about iQOO Neo 8 series is launching on 23rd May 2023 , series to include the Pro model for the very first time
iQOO Neo 8 series – the name which you have been coming across a lot from last few weeks. This upcoming series has been much awaited by many users and tech enthusiasts due to online leaks and reports. The company will be introducing two premium smartphones under this series – iQOO Neo 8 and iQOO Neo 8 Pro. This is the first time iQOO is launching a pro model in the Neo series. Both these upcoming smartphones have been a part of many reports and speculations. We also previously informed you about the chipsets which were tipped to arrive with these devices.
After all the speculations, rumors, and leaks this upcoming series has finally got a launch date. iQOO has officially announced the launch date of the Neo 8 series through a Weibo post to the users.
As per the post, the iQOO Neo 8 series will be making its debut in China on May 23rd at 19:00 pm. Even before it’s official launch the series has been listed on Vivo’s official website. Not only this the official promo video of this upcoming series has also been released.
As mentioned in the Weibo post and shown in the video, the Pro model will be the first device to be powered by the world’s first MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset while it will also be equipped with self-developed chip V1+ which means the device will provide stronger and more enhanced performance to the users. In the teaser, the variant revealed arrives with a leather back panel in red color variant along with a rectangular camera module with LED Flash.
Though due to previous reports leaked online much information about the specifications of this upcoming series is already known.
iQOO Neo 8 series: Specifications (expected)
As previously shared, iQOO Neo 8 will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset whereas iQOO Neo 8 Pro is now confirmed to feature MediaTek Dimensity 9200+.
From the AnTuTu benchmark listing it was also revealed that iQOO Neo 8 Pro will run on Android 13 based FuntouchOS 13 custom UI whereas it was also revealed that the Pro model will offer up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. From the 3C certification listing, it was revealed that the smartphone will support 120W fast charging. It is expected to boost a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5k resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It could feature a triple rear camera setup that includes 50MP primary camera with OIS support. It might house a 5000mAh battery.
iQOO Neo 8 is also expected to sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is also supposed to house a 5000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.
The Neo Pro model will have the triple rear camera set up as revealed in the teaser and as per the official website, there will be a 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant. The rest of other specifications will be confirmed only after the official launch of this upcoming series.
