A lot about the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra has been shared by us to date and now, a new update has arrived pointing to a new image sensor that the device might be having. From what it appears, the sensor is likely to be the optimized version of the HP2 camera sensor.

Here’s more about it.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra – HP2SX Image Sensor

This update comes from the tipster, ICE UNIVERSE, who has shared on the Twitter platform that the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra is going to feature an HP2SX image sensor with the same specifications that were previously expected on the device – 200MP, 1/1.3″ and 0.6μm. The tipster suggests that the image sensor could be an optimized version of the HP2 sensor.

As far as the other specifications of the device are concerned, the upcoming smartphone is likely to be made available as two processor variants depending on different markets – one with Exynos 2400 and the other with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It is also expected to offer up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a UFS 4.0 internal storage of up to 1TB.

About the display, recent reports suggest the device features a 6.78″ AMOLED display panel with a QHD+ screen resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a brightness rate of up to 2,500 nits.

Regarding the dimensions and weight, it is likely to have a dimension of 162.3 x 79 x 8.6mm and is probably going to weigh 233 grams. Compared to its predecessor, the upcoming S24 Ultra is expected to be shorter, wider, thinner, and lighter in weight. The device is also expected to have an IP68-rated body with a titanium alloy frame.

Coming to its cameras, the device at its rear is likely to feature a quad camera setup with a 200MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide camera, 50MP telephoto, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. A front-facing camera of 12MP might also be offered.

Finally, to the battery backup, the device should probably pack a 5000 mAh battery itself and from what is now being said, it might support a 45W wired and a 25W wireless fast charging features.

Just to add, late last month, a prototype design of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 was shared which looked very similar to the renders of the S24 Ultra smartphone. Do check it out.
