Samsung Galaxy F55 Bluetooth SIG certified, launch imminent

Samsung recently confirmed that it will announce the Galaxy F15 5G smartphone equipped with the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset on March 4 in India. It appears that soon after its announcement, Samsung may also unveil another F-series called the Galaxy F55. This is because the Galaxy F55 has received approval from the Bluetooth SIG authority, hinting at an imminent launch.

The above screengrab shows that the Galaxy F55 bearing the SM-E556_DS model number has received approval from the Bluetooth SIG certification platform. The listing confirms that the device will support Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. However, it does not say anything about the other specs of the device.

The said device was approved by India’s BIS authority, the Wi-Fi Alliance, and Nemko. The BIS certification is a good hint that it will be released in India. Like other F-series phones, the F55 could be sold exclusively through Flipkart.

The brand is also said to be working on the Galaxy M55, which could be a rebranded version of the F55, sold exclusively on Amazon in India. Last year, the Galaxy F54 and M54 were launched with identical specs in India but were sold through Flipkart and Amazon, respectively.

In November 2023, the Galaxy M55 was spotted with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 14. It is likely that the F55 may pack the same specs. Unfortunately, other details of the M55 are yet to appear.
