Redmi 12 4G and 5G variant officially confirmed to launch in India on August 1

At the beginning of this month, Redmi officially announced that it will be launching the Redmi 12 4G variant in India on August 1. After the announcement was made the company also confirmed that the device will be made available in Moonstone Silver and Jade Black color variants. A few days back, the 5G variant of this upcoming device was spotted on a few of the certification websites like NBTC and Geekbench indicating that Redmi might soon launch the 5G variant also in the market.

Although earlier there was no confirmation from the side of the company now it has been officially announced that Redmi 12 5G will also be launching in India on the same day just as the 4G variant.

Redmi 12 5G: Specifications (expected)

It is said that Redmi 12 5G could be the rebranded version of Redmi 12R. The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.79-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor which could be paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It might house a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W charging. It is believed to feature 5MP front camera and triple rear camera setup that includes 50MP+2MP+2MP camera sensors.

Recently the live hand-on images of Redmi 12 also leaked online and since both the 4G and 5G smartphones will be making their debut soon, hence we will be getting detailed information about the devices on the launch day itself.
