Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone launched in China at starting price of 3,399 Yuan

Realme has finally launched the much-awaited Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone in its home market in China. It’s a flagship-level smartphone that Realme was teasing about. Let’s get to know about the handset in detail.

Specifications of the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone

The Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone comes with a 6.78-inch wide 8T LTPO 1.5K OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, 4500 nits of peak brightness, and Pro-XDR technology. It’s a curved display that has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone is backed by a 5,400 mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. It runs Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 custom skin out of the box and is promised to receive three years of major Android OS updates with four years of security updates.

For effective heat dissipation, it comes with the largest heat dissipation unit that has a 12000 mm² surface area.

In the camera section, the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone features a 50-megapixel primary camera which is Sony’s LYT-808 sensor with OIS support. It is complemented by a 50 MP IMX890 periscopic telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom and 120x hybrid zoom. And in the last, it has an 8 MP Sony IMX355 for ultra wide-angle shots.

The front side of the handset sports a 32 MP selfie camera.

Pricing and availability

The smartphone has been announced in multiple variants and in three color options that include Black, White, and Orange. Its pricing starts at 3,399 Yuan and goes up to 4299 Yuan. Its 12GB+256GB variant is priced at 3399 Yuan but as a special launch price, it will be offered for just 3298 Yuan.

Similarly, the 16GB + 256GB variant is priced at 3699 Yuan but will be offered for 3598 Yuan, 16GB + 512GB variant is priced at 3999 Yuan but will be offered for 3898 Yuan. And the top spec variant 16GB + 1TB is priced at 4299 Yuan but will be offered at 4198 Yuan.

Pre-reservations are already going in China but as far as the first sale is concerned it will begin on 14th December 2023 in China.
