The Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, OPPO, is expected to launch its third horizontal foldable form factor device – the OPPO Find N3 in the month of September this year and followed by a few other certifications, the global variant of the device has now been certified by the IMDA certification authority.

Here’s more about it.

The upcoming OPPO Find N3 has made its appearance on the IMDA certification website of Singapore with the model number CPH2499, and the certification platform mentions it to be a 5G device. OPPO’s Find N3, as per the listing on IMDA, will support 3G, 4G, and 5G network connectivity and will have Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS connectivity support.

Previously, the global variant was certified by the EEC, NBTC, TKDN, and also by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Indonesia(KOMINFO). The Chinese variant has also been certified by the 3C certification authority and was listed on the certification platform along with a dual port 50W+50W charger. The device has also been listed on the IMEI database as well.

Late last month, OPPO shared a teaser video for its Find N series and it is assumed that it could be for the OPPO Find N3 smartphone. To note, OPPO Find N3 will be the first horizontal foldable device that will be making its debut in the global market, unlike the Find N2 and Find N which remained as China exclusive products.

As far as the specifications are concerned, as pointed out in a recent report, the device could be powered by the normal Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset or maybe its overclocked version and is expected to feature a 7.82″ inner foldable display and a 6.31″ AMOLED cover display. The device is likely to be slimmer and lighter compared to its predecessors.

The early prototypes of the smartphone pointed out that the device sports a 48MP+48MP+64MP triple camera setup whereas the early engineering unit has been said to have a 50MP+48MP+64MP triple camera setup. A 20MP front-facing camera is also expected on the device. It is also suggested that the device might come equipped with a 4,805 mAh battery that supports 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charge features.

We are still about a month away from its expected launch date and with more updates that are likely to arrive in the coming few days, a better clarity about the device and its specifications can be formed. Don’t forget to stay tuned until then.
