OnePlus presents “lifetime screen warranty” to users with “green line issue”, also offering upgrade discount to such users

AMOLED screen display smartphone users have been reporting a green line display problem for over a year now. It was noticed that old smartphones with AMOLED displays were being affected by the green line problem. In regards to this, OnePlus is now presenting a lifetime screen warranty across its own affected devices in India.

Reports have stated that the lifetime screen warranty will be available across affected users. However, it is limited only to users from India at the moment.

OnePlus also asserted that the “lifetime screen warranty” is applicable to any OnePlus smartphone affected by the green line, and it is not limited to selected devices. But as per the information shared by Android Authority, OnePlus is not going to have screen replacements for OnePlus 8 Pro, 8T, 9, and 9R. The reason shared by the company is that these smartphones are at the end of their lifecycle of the product and they do not have the spare parts available for these models.

But no need to be sad if you have these models because OnePlus would offer a discount voucher to users of these models, who are facing the green line issue. With this discount voucher, a user will be able to upgrade to a new OnePlus smartphone.

It is to be noted that even these discount vouchers are limited to India.

Certain OnePlus store is capable of offering screen replacements. In this context, a user would have to replace their devices only through the online OnePlus India website.

The company is also offering another discount on the India-exclusive OnePlus 10R.

With this latest information, OnePlus users who are planning to get a new OnePlus phone can do so without any worry. Meanwhile, users who are already using OnePlus devices with green line faults have the option of a lifetime screen warranty and device replacements in specific locations.
