Here’s more about it.

iQOO Z8 Series Launch Date Confirmed – August 31

The upcoming iQOO Z8 series line-up will be including the vanilla iQOO Z8 and the iQOO Z8x smartphones, and the teaser image shared reveals the camera module of the smartphones. It has a slightly rectangular in shape camera module with two cameras and a dual-tone LED flash. It has also been mentioned on the camera module that the main camera would be OIS-supported.

About the launch, both the iQOO Z8 and Z8x smartphones will be making its debut in the brand’s home market in China on the 31st of August 2023, at 7 PM local time.

Previous Updates

Both the Z8 and Z8x smartphones have made their appearance on the Geekbench database, and the vanilla Z8 was spotted on many other databases including the 3C certification platform of China, Google Play supported devices list, and also on the AnTuTu benchmark platform.

Expected Specifications

Regarding the specifications, the iQOO Z8 smartphone is confirmed to be powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset from MediaTek (also mentioned in the teaser image) and will run on the Android 13 OS, probably with the OriginOS 3.0 custom skin. It will also be coupled with an LPDDR5 RAM and a UFS 3.1 internal storage, and the AnTuTu benchmark confirmed a 12GB/512GB storage variant. It will also have the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU as well.

The smartphone is also expected to feature a 6.64″ 120Hz LCD display, a 64MP(OIS)+2MP dual camera setup, a 16MP front camera, a 5000 mAh battery with 120W fast charge support, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Nothing much about the iQOO Z8x smartphone is known, but its listing on the Geekbench database confirms the device comes equipped with an octa-core processor with a primary clock speed of 2.21GHz. It will also run on the Android 13 operating system, presumably with the OriginOS 3.0 itself. It is possible that the device may feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.

With the launch that is scheduled to take place in a couple of days, we’ll be able to confirm the specifications of the two smartphones and know more about their other features and price points. Don’t forget to stay tuned.
