Last week, tipster Digital Chat Station shared a schematic to reveal the design of the iQOO Neo 9 series of smartphones, which is expected to launch in December of this year in China. Today, the tipster published a post on Weibo to share a few more details about the Neo 9 series.
As per the new leak, the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Dimensity 9300 chipsets, respectively. The tipster added that iQOO is also working on a tablet featuring the Dimensity 9300 chip. While it is expected to be called the iQOO Pad 2, it is unclear whether the tablet will debut alongside the Neo 9 series.
The tipster previously revealed that the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro will come equipped with a 6.78-inch flat OLED display. Today, the leaker revealed that it will offer a 1.5K resolution. The Neo 8 series of smartphones supports a 144Hz refresh rate. Hence, it is likely that the Neo 9 lineup may also offer the same refresh rate.
The Neo 9 series will come preloaded with OriginOS 4-based Android 14. The leak claims that both phones will pack a battery that is slightly larger than 5,000mAh mAh. Both devices are also expected to support 120W fast charging.
For photography, the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 primary camera with OIS support. It is the same lens that is available as the primary camera on the Vivo X90 smartphone.
