iQOO Neo 8, Neo 8 Pro tipped to launch in May, key details leaked again

iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro details have leaked once again. Tipster Digital Chat Station has been leaking key details of both smartphones for the past few days on Weibo. In a new Weibo post, he has not only reiterated the key specifications of both phones but also revealed the launch timeframe.

The source says that the iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro will have an OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and high-frequency dimming. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset will power the Neo 8 and support 120W fast charging.

iQOO Neo 8 series specs

It appears that the Neo 8 Pro will have the Dimensity 9200 Plus, which is yet to go official. The Pro model is likely to support 100W charging. It is likely that the Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro will both come equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera.

iQOO Neo 8 series release timeframe

The iQOO Neo 6 series debuted in December 2021, and the Neo 7 lineup was made official in Q4 2022. Hence, it was said that the Neo 8 series will arrive in the second half of 2022. However, tipster DCS can be seen saying that the Neo 8 series is tentatively scheduled to launch in May in the above screengrab.

At present, iQOO is focused on launching the iQOO Z7 and Z7x with Snapdragon 782G and Snapdragon 695 chipsets in the Chinese market on March 20. It appears that the first teasers for the iQOO Neo 8 lineup will surface in April.
