Complete Specs of the Moto Edge 40 Pro and the Edge 40 Smartphones Leaked Ahead of Launch

Motorola is soon to release two of its Edge 40 series smartphones in the global market and much ahead of its launch, the complete specifications of the two smartphones have been leaked.

Based on the article published on MySmartPrice, we now have the complete specifications of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro and the Edge 40 smartphones, two of which are soon to have their launch in the global market.

The Moto Edge 40 Pro is also expected to be the rebranded version of the Moto X40 smartphone launched in China last year in the month of December and we also spotted the device on the HDR10+ certification.

Now let’s look at the specifications of the upcoming smartphones

Moto Edge 40 Pro

The upcoming Motorola Edge 40 Pro smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will have 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The device will also have the Android 13-based MyUX custom user interface out of the box.

The smartphone will be having a dimension of  161.16 x 74 x 8.59 mm and a weight of about 199 grams. Speaking of the build, the device has an aluminum frame with the front and rear panels protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The device is also IP68 rated and is both water and dust resistant.

The upcoming smartphone will also feature a 6.67″ P-OLED endless-edge display with a full HD+ resolution. It will also have a refresh rate of 165Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz along with a peak brightness rate of 1300 nits. The endless-edge display means that the device will have a curved display panel with minimal bezels both on the top and bottom. The smartphone will also have support for DCI-P3 color gamut and will support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

On the rear, the Moto Edge 40 Pro will have a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP OIS main camera along with a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP portrait lens which supports 2x zoom. The device will also have a front-facing camera of 60MP as well.

The smartphone will also come equipped with a 4600 mAh battery, which supports a 125W wired fast charge feature. It will also support a 15W wireless fast charge feature and a 5W reverse wireless charging feature.

The Moto Edge 40 Pro will be available in two color choices – Quartz Black and Angel Falls.

Now regarding the Moto Edge 40 smartphone, the smartphone is going to come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset and will have LPDDR4x RAM of 8GB and a UFS 3.1 storage of 256GB.

Two variants of the Moto Edge 40 smartphone made with vegan leather and PMMA Acrylic respectively will be available and for the variant with vegan leather material, the smartphone will have a dimension of 158.43 x 71.99 x 7.58 mm and will weigh about 171 grams. For the PMMA Acrylic smartphone, the device will have a thickness of 7.49 mm and a weight of about 167 gm. The two variants, just like the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will be IP68 dust and water-resistant as well.

The upcoming smartphone will also be featuring a full HD+ P-OLED display with a screen size of 6.55 inches and will have a refresh rate of 144Hz. It will also have a peak brightness rate of 1200 nits and will support HDR10+.

On the rear, the Moto Edge 40 will be having a dual camera setup with a 50MP OIS main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field view. For selfies, the device also has a 32MP front-facing camera.

The upcoming smartphone will also be having a battery backup of 4400 mAh and will support a wired fast charge feature of upto 68W and a wireless fast charge feature of 15W.

The smartphone will be available in four color choices – Eclipse Black, Lunar Blue, Nebula Green, and Magenta.
