Alleged Redmi K70 series key specifications tipped once again

Last year, in December, Redmi launched the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro, which were powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets, respectively. Both phones mainly differed in departments like the chipset, main camera, battery size, and charging capabilities. It appears that the upcoming Redmi K70 and K70 Pro may also differ in these departments.

In the latest leak, tipster Digital Chat Station can be seen talking about two smartphones that have “Vermeer” and “Manet” codenames. These devices could be the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro. Based on the leak, it can be said that these devices could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively.

According to the leak, both smartphones will have a 2K display from China-based CSOT. Both devices are also expected to feature a 3x telephoto camera and pack a 5,500mAh battery. Both models are expected to support 90W wired and 120W wired charging.

There is a possibility that the K70 Pro may support wireless charging like the K60 Pro. The K70 may lack support for it. At present, there is no word on the primary and ultra-wide cameras of both smartphones. Both models are expected to come preloaded on Android 13 with a layer of MIUI 14. Reports claim that the K70 series will be one of the first Xiaomi devices to get the MIUI 15 upgrade.
