OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro in the Chinese market. According to a leak by tipster Digital Chat Station today, the brand may be planning to launch another Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone in China. The leaked specifications match those of the rumoured OnePlus 12R for the global market. Therefore, the tipster may have leaked details about the Chinese edition of the device, which could be an upcoming Ace series phone. Here is what is known about the alleged OnePlus Ace 3.
According to the tipster, the alleged OnePlus Ace 3 will come equipped with a 6.74-inch OLED display with a single punch-hole and curved edges. The screen is expected to support a 1.5K resolution, high-frequency dimming, and most likely a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the purported Ace 3 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is clocked at 3.2GHz. While the leak does not mention it, the device could be equipped with 16GB or 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The leak also mentions that the device will house a 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W charging.
The rear camera setup of the device is said to be equipped with a Sony IMX890 50-megapixel main sensor. It will be joined by an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV8D10 ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel IMX709 telephoto camera, which may support up to 2x optical zoom.
There is a possibility that the device may launch by the end of October or early November, so that it could be available for purchase by the Double 11 (November 11, Singles’ Day) shopping festival in China.
