The Tiago EV, the most affordable electric vehicle from Tata Motors, recently made its debut in India. The Tata Tiago EV has a starting price of Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). At noon today, pre-reservations for the EV will begin.
The Tiago EV can be reserved by interested parties by making a 21,000 down deposit. Pre-orders for the electric car are accepted online and at nearby authorized dealerships.
Deliveries of the Tata Tiago EV will start in January 2019. Tata Motors revealed at the unveiling that it had reserved 2,000 of the Tata Tiago EVs for its current EV customers.
Customers who are interested can reserve the electric hatch for a low price of Rs 21,000 either online or through a Tata dealership. In October, Tata will begin exhibiting it in major cities. And it is anticipated that test drives will begin in December. Additionally, the electric hatchback will start shipping in January.
The first 10,000 buyers will have access to the base prices, with 2,000 units set aside for current Tigor EV and Nexon EV customers. Tata claims that because of the anticipated strong demand for the 24kWh battery pack versions, production has been prioritized.
The new EV is said to have an acceleration time of 5.7 seconds from 0 to 60 kmph and a range of up to 315 kilometers. There will be four trim levels available for the Tata Tiago EV: XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Tech.
