Tata Punch engine now compliant with RDE norms – making the engine more refined and less noisy

Now the company has bought a new update in Tata Punch . They have updated the Punch engine to improve the experience of users . Tata Punch engine will now come with RDE compliant motor which will not only safeguard the environment  , but also reduce the noise and vibrations which will be a benefit for the consumers.

This update will turn out to be a huge relief for the consumers as now when they will be sitting inside the car they don’t have to hear the hum of motor . Consumers will get to experience silence even if the doors of car are closed and fan & AC are switched off.

What are these RDE norms ?

According to RushLane , RDE is a part of BS6 Phase 11 emission norms that will come into effect from April 01 , 2023 . According to these norms-

  • All vehicles will need to be fitted with specialized equipment that can monitor emissions in real-world conditions.
  • All vehicles will be required to undergo testing based on Modified Indian Test Cycle standards.

Tata Punch gives mileage up to 18.97 kmpl and comes with 1199 CC engine . The car has a fuel capacity of 37 litres. It is also available with two drive modes – Eco and City. It includes projector headlamps , LED DRLs and LED tail lamps , auto folding ORVMs , R16 diamond cut alloys , Puddle lamps , rear wiper with wash and defogger , Android auto and Apple CarPlay , ABS & EBD with brake sway control , Safety kit.
