Mahindra XUV700 , Scorpio/N , Hector ruled the market in January 2023 leaving Tata Safari and Harrier behind

Earlier in January we informed you about the outstanding demand for Mahindra Scorpio in the market as it sales increased with huge numbers . According to a report by RushLane Mahindra Scorpio/N has managed to post an incredible YoY and MoM growth in January 2023 followed by XUV700 , Hector leaving behind Tata Safari and Harrier in terms of sale .

RushLane has posted on their twitter account the sales growth of the famous cars in January 2023 . Further with the follow up threads they explained about the sales report in detail .

According to the report  the total January 2023 sales of Mahindra’s Scorpion / N &XUV700 ,  Tata Safari & Harrier along with MG Hector & Hector Plus was 19.547 units which was greater than January 2022 total sales of 13,449 .

Among the total units sold Mahindra Scorpio/N was ruling over the market as it’s sales saw a YoY growth of 188% with total units sold in January 2023 being 8,715 . Last year in January the total sales was 3,026 units which means there was a difference of almost 5,689 units if we take a look at current sales . If we see the MoM growth of Mahindra Scorpio/N in December 2022 7,003 units were sold which means the MoM growth was 24.45% . The current market percent share is 44.58 which also came up from 39.27% in December 2022.

After Mahindra Scorpio/N , XUV700 sales also saw a YoY growth of 40.50 percent with 5,787 units sold in January 2023  up from 4,119 units sold in January 2022. The MoM basis was also increased by 2.92% as in December 2022 total 5,623 units were sold . Though XUV7OO sales increased , but market share saw a decline to 29.61% from 31.53% in December 2022 .

MG Hector and Hector Plus sales increased YoY and MoM basis by 19.72% and 54.98% . Total units sold in January 2023 was 2,441 , up from 2039 units in January 2022 and 1,575 units in December 2022 . The market share also increased to 12.49% from 8.83% in December 2022 .

On one side January 2023 has been fruitful for Scorpio/N , XUV700 , Hector and Hector Plus , it has not been a good month for Tata Harrier and Safari as their sales declined in January 2023 . Total sales of these two models declined to 2604 units from 4265 units in January 2022 and 3630 units in December 2022 . Sales of these models got down by 38.94% YoY and 28.26% MoM . Not only the sales but market share of these models also decreased to 13.32% from 20.36% in December 2022 .

Earlier Tata Safari and Harrier were the to sellers in the SUV segment but after the launch of Mahindra XUV700 and new Scorpio N , the Mahindra SUVs seem to dominate the market with their increasing demand and sales .
