Apple Launched Its Thinnest Apple Product Ever iPad Pro At ‘Let Loose’ Event With These Products

Cupertino-based tech giant Apple unveiled its new iPad Pro powered by its advanced M4 chipset at the company’s Let Loose event on Tuesday. This new iPad comes with a slimmer design, new accessories that include Apple Pencil Pro which brings powerful new interactions that take the experience even further, and a new thinner, lighter Magic Keyboard packed with incredible features. Along with these products, the company has also unveiled the iPad Air(2024) which is said to be significantly faster than its predecessor. Let’s get to know about them in detail.

M4 Chip

Apple’s new M4 chip powers iPad Pro and uses second-generation 3-nanometer technology. This new chipset from the company also features an entirely new display engine to drive the stunning precision, color, and brightness of the breakthrough Ultra Retina XDR display on iPad Pro. Its CPU has up to 10 cores and its 10-core GPU architecture brings Dynamic Caching, hardware-accelerated ray tracing, and hardware-accelerated mesh shading to iPad for the first time. The new M4 is promised to deliver up to 1.5x faster CPU performance over the powerful M2 in the previous iPad Pro. The M4 chip is power efficient also as it is said to deliver the same performance as the latest PC chip in a laptop using just a fourth of the power. It has the most powerful Neural Engine ever and is 60x faster than the Neural Engine in A11 Bionic. The company bets that the Neural Engine in M4 is more powerful than any neural processing unit in any AI PC today. iPad Pro: Thinnest Apple Product Ever

The new iPad Pro 11-inch model is just 5.3 mm thin, and the 13-inch model is even thinner at a striking 5.1 mm while both models are still said to be as strong as previous models. The company says that its aluminum body is made up of 100% recycled materials. In order to boost the display’s brightness it features a “tandem OLED display” which means two OLED panels layered on top of each other. It comes with 1600 nits of peak brightness for HDR and 1,000 nits of peak brightness for SDR content. The newly launched iPad Pro is powered by an M4 chipset that is built on second-generation 3-nanometer technology. It has a dedicated new display engine that offers stunning precision, color, and brightness of the Ultra Retina XDR display. It has got 12MP back camera that is said to capture vibrant Smart HDR images and video with even better color, improved textures, and detail in low light.

It uses AI to automatically identify the document right in the Camera app and if a shadow is in the way, it instantly takes multiple photos with the new adaptive flash, stitching the scan together for a dramatically better scan. The new iPad Pro gets a TruDepth camera system in landscape location. It features a 12MP front camera with a Center Stage. Connectivity options include a USB-C connector with the support for Thunderbolt 3 and USB 4. It also supports Wi-Fi 6E for a super-fast Wi-Fi connection. Its cellular model can be activated by eSIM, a more secure alternative to a physical SIM card. You also get to see quad 4 speakers and four microphones. It is compatible with the new Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard.

Apple Pencil Pro

The Apple Pencil Pro comes with new features and capabilities. It comes with a new sensor that senses the user’s squeeze thus showing the tool palette to quickly switch tools, line weights, and colors, all without interrupting the creative process. Its gyroscope allows users to roll Apple Pencil Pro for precise control of the tool they’re using. For the first time, it brings support for Find My helping users to locate it. It can easily be charged by magnetically attaching it to the iPad Pro.

Magic Keyboard Pro

The new Magic Keyboard Pro is more thinner and lighter thus making it more portable and versatile than ever. It comes with a magical floating design, an aluminum palm rest, and a larger trackpad that’s more responsive with haptic feedback. It attaches magnetically and the Smart Connector immediately connects power and data without the need for Bluetooth. Its machined aluminum hinge also includes a USB-C connector for charging.

Price 

The 11-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi model pricing starts from Rs 99,900 while its Wi-Fi+Cellular model pricing starts from Rs 119,900. The pricing of the Wi-Fi model of the 13-inch iPad Pro starts from Rs 129,900 and the Wi+Fi+cellular model pricing starts from Rs 149,900. Buyers can order the new iPad Pro with M4 starting today, May 7, at apple.com/store, and in the Apple Store app in 29 countries and regions, including India., with availability in stores beginning Wednesday, May 15. The 11-inch Magic Keyboard is priced at Rs 29,900 and 13 inch Magic Keyboard is priced at Rs 33,900. The Apple Pencil Pro is priced at Rs 11,900.

iPad Air

Apple has also launched the 11-inch and all-new 13-inch iPad Air(2024) which is powered by an M2 chip. It is compatible with the new Magic Keyboard, and Apple Pencil Pro. Both of the tablets come with the Liquid Retina design an anti-reflective screen coating; True Tone technology; high brightness; and support for P3 wide color. You get to see a 12MP ultra wide angle front-facing camera for selfies. It also supports Apple’s Center Stage technology that automatically adjusts the camera angle as you move. The rear side of the tablet sports a 12MP wide-angle camera with auto image stabilization and Smart HDR 4 support.

It also supports recording videos at up to 4K resolution and up to 60fps, or slow-motion videos at up to 1080p at up to 240fps. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth v5.3 while its cellular version offers 5G connectivity and GPS/GNSS support. It also comes with a Type C port for charging and data transfer.  As far as price is concerned its pricing begins from Rs 59,900 for the Wi-Fi version and goes up to Rs 94,900 for Wi-Fi + 5G variant. It comes in  Blue, Purple, Space Grey, and Starlight color options and will be available for sale in global markets including India starting on May 15.
