Latest Tweet from Elon Musk indicates his concern over Plastic Straws

As per the recent tweets, it claims that Elon Musk is concerned about the straws. He added in the tweet that the war on straws must end. He ran out of straws while drinking a cold brew and declared that was the last straw. He also explained how the straw war started. According to our sources, all of this started in July 2018, and Seattle was the first city in the United States to ban plastic straws.

While the impact of eliminating straws may appear minor at first, it is significant in actuality. Consider this as an example McDonald’s in the United Kingdom, alone creates over 3.5 million straws per day, while Starbucks utilizes a billion straws per year. Some American Airlines have begun to replace straws, plastic stir sticks, and flatware with environmentally friendly alternatives. This process might save more than 71,000 pounds of plastic each year.

The war on plastic straws is essential since plastic accounts for nearly 4% of ocean debris. This includes about 2000 tons of straws. Straws, in particular, have been a source of contention since they are perceived as an unnecessary single-use item and an easy approach to reducing waste. The campaign to ban straws gathered traction when a heartbreaking viral video in 2015 showed rescuers graphically pulling a straw from a sea turtle’s snout. Companies are working hard to lessen the environmental impact of plastic straws.

One of the tweets stated that the introduction of paper straws was based on a 2019 study conducted by a 9-year-old child. The individual curses the child by forcing him to wear clothing, particularly those made of paper.
