Elon Musk criticizes Twitter’s NFT Profile Pictures move

Tesla’s founder & CEO , Elon Musk criticizes Twitter ,a social media platform for the introduction of NFTs. He shared a series of tweets on Friday regarding NFTs.

Musk said ,”This is annoying”. He also shared a screenshot of this introduction .He further added ,”Twitter is spending engineering resources on this bs while crypto scammers are throwing a spambot block party in every thread!?”

Twitter introduced this feature on Thursday, January 20. NFTs  or Non- Fungible Tokens are digital pieces of work owned by an individual .NFTs are secured through block chain technology. These can be purchased through crypto currency. These NFT profile pictures are basically a depiction of a character’s face .You can use these PFP NFTs as profile pictures on Twitter or any other social media.

However, on Friday, January 21, Musk disapproved Twitter’s move .Musk tweeted with reference that Twitter is spending its engineering resources for ‘this’ while the Twitter users are asked by the crypto scammers to send them their cryptocurrencies. In return, the scammers promise to multiply their investments.
