Google co-founder Sergey Brin in an anger spree told his financial advisers to sell his investments in Elon Musk’s companies

After finding that Elon Musk allegedly had a relationship with Brin’s wife, Nicole Shanahan, Google co-founder Sergey Brin reportedly instructed his financial advisors to sell off all of his holdings in Musk’s businesses.

The Wall Street Journal originally reported on Sunday that Brin and Shanahan got divorced in January after he found out about the affair last year, citing unidentified persons “familiar with the case.”

According to the unnamed sources, Brin and Musk’s long-standing friendship had become strained before Brin decided to sell his shares in Musk’s companies. According to The Journal, it is unclear “how big the investments are, or whether there have been any sales.”

Musk is now involved in legal proceedings with Twitter after making a $44 million bid for the firm and then seeking to withdraw it. He is the owner of Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, and The Boring Company.

Brin, a director of Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc., had previously invested $500,000 in Tesla in 2008.

According to The New York Times, Google and Fidelity contributed $1 billion to SpaceX in 2015.
