Xiaomi 17 Pro Series – New Rear Display Updates Now Rolling Out in China

The new updates for the Xiaomi 17 Pro series smartphones are centered around the rear display, and as per the details shared by Xiaomi, a new “Live Bar APP” game scorecard feature has now been added to the rear display of the devices. Via this new feature, which arrives in collaboration with the Zhibo8 app, the back screen of the Xiaomi 17 Pro series devices will now be able to show scores of major matches in real time. This will reduce the need for users to cut out from a live broadcast or open another app again and again to check the latest scores.

Coming to the second update, Xiaomi has also announced the arrival of the “Mijia Camera” card for the Xiaomi 17 Pro series’ back screen. With this feature, users will be able to view their Mi Home camera feed directly on the rear display itself, making it a convenient way to check on their children, pets, or home at any time.

Also to note, for added security, users who have enabled front face recognition will only be able to access this feature after face verification. This means that the camera feed won’t be visible to others without proper authentication.

Lastly, regarding its availability, Xiaomi in its Weibo post confirms that these two new features will be fully available by mid-June in China, as translated from Chinese to English.
