Xbox Mobile App Update
With the Xbox app update that is soon coming, users will be able to buy games, join Game Pass, and also redeem Perks directly from mobile devices, bringing one of the most community requested features on the application. The roll-out of the feature will initially start with beta users both on iOS and Android devices, and will later be made available to everyone via the App Store and Play Store.
To add, if a payment method is already saved by users, the game details page on the Xbox app will display a ‘Buy’ button, letting them purchase games as well as add-on contents seamlessly with just two clicks.
‘Stream Your Own Game’ Support on Xbox Consoles
Following the support for Amazon Fire TV devices, Samsung Smart TVs, Meta Quest headsets, and other browser supported devices (PCs, smartphones, and tablets), Game Pass Ultimate members will now be able to stream select games on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles (apart from the Game Pass catalog). This will allow users of the mentioned devices to play their games immediately without having the need to download and install it first. Also, hard drive space can thus be saved in addition to saving time.
To access the streaming functionality on Xbox consoles, navigate to ‘My games & apps’ > tap on ‘Full library’ > and select ‘Owned Games’. After selecting the game, choose ‘Play with Cloud Gaming’.
