Telegram founder Pavel Durov has now revealed that the messaging platform has applied for the ‘.gram’ domain, and if the application receives approval, Telegram users could reportedly get their own second-level domains as well as create interactive websites hosted by the platform.

Telegram Applies for ‘.gram’ Domain Zone
According to Pavel Durov (@durov), Telegram has applied for the ‘.gram’ domain zone, and the application will be requiring approval from ICANN before it can be introduced to users.
If approved, Telegram users will reportedly be able to get their own second-level domains, such as yourname.gram, and Durov has further suggested that this feature could potentially be made available to as many as one billion Telegram users.

Speaking more, users would also be able to create interactive websites hosted by Telegram through these .gram domains, and notably, Durov claims that such websites could be set up with just one prompt.
As mentioned, the ‘.gram’ domain zone is currently awaiting the required ICANN approval, and more details regarding its implementation as well as availability could be revealed in the coming days.
