Perplexity Computer Expands to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Available for Pro, Max, Enterprise Pro, and Enterprise Max Subscribers

Following the release of Perplexity Computer for Microsoft Teams, Perplexity has extended support for its AI assistant to other Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Perplexity Computer – Expanded to More Microsoft 365 Apps
With this update, Microsoft Office users can edit spreadsheets directly, including comps, models, and DCFs. Users can also update Word drafts, rewrite and format content, and generate or rewrite presentation slides from existing documents, workbooks, or text prompts.
Outlook users can compose or rewrite emails using context from thread histories and attachments. The integration can also generate meeting briefs and sales materials by pulling relevant information from mailboxes, connected files, and the web. In Microsoft Teams, users retain the ability to launch multi-step tasks within chats and channels.
To use the tool, users must visit the Microsoft Marketplace to download the respective Perplexity Computer add-ins for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or Teams. Once installed, the assistant can be accessed from a side panel directly within each application. A single sign-on connects the user’s Perplexity account across all supported apps. In Teams, the assistant can also be triggered by @mentioning “Computer” in chats or channels.
This integration is currently available for all Perplexity Pro, Max, Enterprise Pro, and Enterprise Max subscribers.
