Microsoft’s Copilot Fall 2025 Update Released
This latest news has been dropped by Mustafa Suleyman (CEO of Microsoft AI), and the latest Copilot Fall 2025 update emphasizes more on social intelligence metrics and privacy opt-ins, along with a humans-first approach. Looking into the changelogs, most notably the brand has brought out a Groups feature which will allow users to turn Copilot into a shared experience. Users will be able to invite up to 32 friends, classmates, or teammates together, and collaborate in real-time. Additionally, Copilot will help in summarizing the threads, proposing more options, tally votes, and also in splitting tasks between the members. Also, Imagine can be used within this space to bring ideas into reality.
Furthermore, ensuring a personalized experience, the new expressive Mico character is also part of this Copilot Fall release, and it will offer optional visual interactions like listening, reacting, and even changing colors, as well as with conversation styles like Real Talk. For deeper memory and shared context, Memory & Personalization, Connectors, and Proactive Actions Preview have been added. Users will thus be able to keep a track of their thoughts and their to-do list, along with keeping these content in reach by connecting it with other services such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Outlook, Google Calendar, Gmail, and more.
With Copilot for Health, Copilot will now be able to answer health-related questions. Learn Live will also be providing voice-enabled guidance for users. Copilot mode in Edge (making it an AI browser), Copilot on Windows (transforming every Windows 11 PCs as AI PCs), Pages (Microsoft’s canvas for collaboration), and Copilot Search (combining AI-generated with traditional results) are other capabilities that have been introduced or added with the Copilot Fall 2025 update.
In terms of availability, these new features and upgrades are currently live in the US region, however depending on the device and platform, there may be a few changes. For other regions, including the UK and Canada, the update will be rolled out over the next few weeks.
