X’s New Link Experience in Tests

Via the update shared by the X Product Head – Nikita Bier, the micro-blogging social media platform headed by Elon Musk is revealed to be testing a new link experience starting with iOS. As mentioned, the main aim of this is to allow followers to engage more with the original post while they browse the link given on it.

Speaking more regarding it, a common complaint from the side of creators is that, when sharing posts with links, these often get lower reach as the links take the followers to the web page which covers the entire thing, leaving the original posts forgotten. As followers don’t get to or try to drop in their ‘Like’ or ‘Reply’, X will also not be able to determine whether the content is good or not.

It is to eradicate this issue that X is testing the new link experience, and with the help of which, the original posts will collapse to the bottom of the screen when followers click on the link and after going through the web page were it takes followers, they can also react by tapping on the menu bar given at the bottom. Most importantly, the original X posts must stand out in order to earn the reaction.

In related news, just recently, the new Handle Marketplace was also launched by X for Premium+ subscribers, bringing the capability to claim inactive usernames. Do check it out.
