VMware Desktop Hypervisor Pro Apps Will Now Be Free For Personal Usage

A few months ago Broadcom acquired VMware which is among one of the biggest acquisitions in the tech world. This acquisition has led to several changes that are not unexpected things from Broadcom. And VMware has come forth to announce the new change that is related to the changes to the way the company licenses its desktop hypervisor products. From now on  Fusion Pro and Workstation Pro will have two license models.

As per the announcement made by the company, the company will now provide a Free Personal Use or a Paid Commercial Use subscription for its Pro apps. This simply means those users who want to create a virtual lab or want to operate an OS on their Mac, Windows, or Linux computer for personal use can do it for free by registering and downloading the latest build from the new download portal located at support.broadcom.com. The company has also reduced the product group offerings down to a single SKU (VCF-DH-PRO) for commercial users. Before this change company announced the transition to 100 percent subscription licensing and the end of sale for VMware perpetual licenses.
