Opera’s New AI-Powered Assistant Can Handle Your Online Tasks

Opera’s New AI-Powered Assistant Can Handle Your Online Tasks

At Mobile World Congress 2025, Opera introduced its new Browser Operator, an AI tool designed to help users complete routine online tasks. With this feature, you can simply describe your request in everyday language—for example, asking the browser to purchase an item—and the browser will carry out the task for you.

Browser Operator converts your everyday language into a series of automated actions. For example, if you request a purchase, it navigates the website, selects the item, and even starts the checkout process. Throughout this process, you can monitor its progress and step in to adjust or cancel the task if necessary.

One important feature of Browser Operator is that it runs directly on your device rather than using external cloud servers. This local operation not only speeds up the process by reducing reliance on remote servers but also helps protect your personal data, keeping your information private.

Availability

Right now, Browser Operator is available as a preview feature. Opera plans to roll it out more widely in an upcoming AI feature update, allowing more users to benefit from this new way to handle online tasks.
