iOS 16.6 About To Launch Before June 5?

MacRumours have reported on the internet that according to their website’s analytics logs, Apple has started testing iOS 16.6 internally, which has proven to be a reliable indicator of upcoming software updates. iOS 16.6 is most likely to be one of the last updates in the iOS 16 software cycle.

The releasing time of the first beta of iOS 16.6 is a fact that no one knows. But the first betas of iOS 13.6, iOS 14.6 and iOS 1.6 were all made available to developers prior to WWDC over the last three years. WWDC is scheduled for June 5 through June 9 this year and that is the event where Apple will announce iOS 17 and other new software.

With the expected release of iOS 17 in June, iOS 16.6 is probably going to be a smaller update. Apple Card’s savings account is expected to launch next week. Other than that, iMessage Contact Key Verification is the only iOS feature that is yet to be launched but was announced previously. It is unclear exactly when the optional security setting will launch.

16.5 still remains in beta testing. The addition of a Sports tab in the Apple News app and the ability to start a screen recording with Siri are the two notable changes that have been discovered in the update.

But more than iOS 16.6, iPhone enthusiasts are more excited about iOS 17. Initial reports suggested that iOS 17 would be a minor update without any significant additions. Redesigned Control Center, Sideloading of Apps and CarPlay improvements are the expected features in iOS 17, according to HT Tech.
