Google introduces new vibe coding experience in Google AI Studio

A few days back, Google introduced a new AI-first vibe coding experience in the Google AI Studio, enabling anyone to build and deploy apps in just a few minutes. It was said that more features and updates will be introduced for vibe coding, and yesterday the company announced a redesigned experience in vibe coding with the integration of the latest Gemini models.

It is said that with this latest experience, developers will not have to juggle with API keys or figure out how to tie models together.

New vibe coding experience in Google AI Studio

You can now describe the multi-modal app of your vision, and AI Studio, alongside Google’s latest Gemini models, will bring your idea to life. AI Studio understands the capabilities you need and automatically wires up the right models and APIs for you.

To fuel your imagination, Google has revamped the App Gallery into a rich, visual library of what’s possible with Gemini. You can explore project ideas, preview them instantly, learn from the starter code, and remix apps into your own creations. The new Brainstorming Loading Screen cycles through context-aware ideas generated by Gemini while your app builds, turning wait time into a source of new possibilities.

The new Annotation Mode makes refining your app easy. Instead of describing a change or digging through code, you can now simply highlight a part of your app and tell Gemini what to modify.

In case you exhaust your free quota, you can add your own API key so that you can continue vibe coding. You will automatically switch back when your free tier renews.

These updates are said to lower the barrier between a great idea and a working app with Gemini, so anyone can build with AI.
