With Gemini in Chrome, Android users can summarise long articles, get answers to questions related to web pages, and connect with their favourite Google apps (including Calendar and Keep) without switching tabs. Apart from this, users can also customise and generate images on the go with Nano Banana.
The AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers on Android will also get the benefit of Gemini in Chrome’s agentic capabilities with auto browse.
Auto browse can handle tedious everyday tasks for you, helping you do things like book parking for an event, update a recurring online order, or organise travel for your next vacation.
Coming to safety concerns, the company has specified that the features are built to be secure by design, and its models are trained to detect threats, such as prompt injection. Meanwhile, auto browse is designed to ask for confirmation before completing some sensitive tasks.
To access Gemini in Chrome, tap the Gemini icon or the three-dot menu on the top bar of your Android device.
