Portronics has officially launched its new Ruffpad series of multicolour LCD writing pads for children in India, consisting of three models, namely the Ruffpad Teddy 8.5, Ruffpad Dino 8.5 and Ruffpad PupX 10.

Portronics Ruffpad Teddy 8.5, Dino 8.5 and PupX 10 – Specifications and Pricing
The three Ruffpad models feature vivid multicolour LCD screens with reusable writing surfaces and can be used for writing, drawing, doodling and handwriting practice. Additionally, all three writing pads offer one-tap erase buttons, screen-lock protection and lightweight designs.
Portronics further claims that their no-blue-light LCD screens provide a comfortable viewing experience for children. These products are more or less similar to the reusable writing slates for children currently available in the market, which also offer similar writing and erase functionality.
However, unlike most conventional reusable writing pads, the Ruffpad series supports the Ruffpad app, which allows users to capture their notes and doodles using a smartphone camera before saving or sharing them.
Speaking of the display sizes, the Portronics Ruffpad Teddy 8.5 and Ruffpad Dino 8.5 both feature an 8.5-inch multicolour LCD screen, whereas the Ruffpad PupX 10 offers a larger 10-inch multicolour LCD screen.
In terms of design, the Ruffpad Teddy 8.5 features a teddy bear-inspired body, while the Ruffpad Dino 8.5 and Ruffpad PupX 10 features a green dinosaur-shaped body and a puppy-inspired design with floppy-ear handles.
Coming to the battery, the Ruffpad Teddy 8.5 and Ruffpad PupX 10 use replaceable CR2025 coin-cell batteries, while the Ruffpad Dino 8.5 is powered by a replaceable CR2016 coin-cell battery.
Regarding availability, all three writing pads can now be purchased through the Portronics official website, Amazon India, Flipkart and other online and offline retailers across the country. The Ruffpad Teddy 8.5, Ruffpad Dino 8.5 and Ruffpad PupX 10 are priced at INR 599 (MRP – INR 999), INR 499 (MRP – INR 999) and INR 749 (MRP – INR 1,299), respectively. All three models are also backed by a 12-month warranty.
