Odyssey Introduces a New AI Model Capable of Streaming 3D Interactive Worlds: Now Available as Early Demo on Web

Odyssey is a startup company with Oliver Cameron and Jeff Hawke as founders, and it has introduced a new AI model that will let users interact with 3D streaming videos. The first of its kind AI model is now available as an early demo version on the web.

Odyssey’s New AI Model With 3D Interactive Video Streaming Capability Introduced

As mentioned, Odyssey has now introduced a new AI model – first of its kind and which is capable of streaming worlds that users can explore and interact with. What the model does is that, it generates and streams video frames for users every 40 milliseconds (ms) and with the help of basic controls, similar to that of a 3D-rendered video game, users will be able to explore through the areas within the video.

However, as of now the videos generated are distorted and blurry, and the layouts aren’t that consistent. Moreover, the brand itself has addressed it by terming it as a ‘glitchy dream’, but stating that interactive videos will get more realistic as well as compelling and its next generation AI model is already on the way.

Speaking more, this new AI model from Odyssey has by now received mixed opinions. For many big tech companies and other startups, world models seem to be a promising innovation and notably companies like DeepMind, Microsoft, World Labs, and more are after it. Creatives on the other hand see it as a threat and artists working in the areas of film, animation, television, and so on may lose their role in the industry with the adoption of such AI models (as per reports). Odyssey understanding the matter has also come forward and stated that it aims to collaborate with creatives and not to replace them.
