Online Gaming Service Stadia To Be Closed Down by Google

As per recent sources, Google is going to close down Stadia, the online game streaming service. The reason behind such a decision is the decreased adoption rate by its users. The service will be put to stop next year in mid-January.

Despite the solid technological foundation of the platform, there was a lack of marketing and user attraction. The VP and General Manager of Google, Phil Harrison, has also expressed his sadness about the halt of Stadia and mentioned that somehow the streaming platform couldn’t make an impact on the public.

Google has also promised to return back the money invested by the players on various games and add-ons, and to whoever has purchased hardware from Google Store. Evidently, a huge financial loss for the IT giant.
