Vivo has introduced three new products in its home market China today, the Vivo X Fold 5, Vivo TWS Air3 Pro, and Vivo Watch 5 e-sim variant. In this article, we’re focusing on the Vivo Watch 5 e-sim variant, covering its specifications, features, pricing, and availability.

The Vivo Watch 5 is the brand’s latest smartwatch powered by BlueOS 2.0, designed with an emphasis on health tracking, smart connectivity, and long battery life. It comes in two variants: Bluetooth (launched in Arpil) and eSIM (launched today), with build options in aluminium alloy and stainless steel. Colour choices include Stainless Steel, Night Black, Moonlight White, Star Yarn Pink, and Peach Pink.

The smartwatch sports a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels and a high contrast ratio of 100000:1, all housed in a sleek circular frame. It packs a 505mAh battery (typical) and supports wired charging. Battery life extends up to 14 days in Bluetooth mode and up to 7 days in eSIM mode, depending on usage. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4 with BLE/BT support and NFC, which enables transit payments in nearly 300 cities across China.

It measures 45mm × 45mm × 11.4mm (excluding convex bulge) and weighs between 32g and 36g, depending on the model. Strap support includes 135–200mm for soft rubber and 140–205mm for leather straps.

Fitness & Activity Features

Vivo Watch 5 supports over 100 sports modes across 9 categories, with activity-specific guidance. The newly upgraded skipping mode makes workouts more interactive. It also includes professional ball sports training for tennis, table tennis, and badminton—helping users learn correct form and posture. A built-in personal trainer guides users through courses like stretching, fat-burning, and bodybuilding, helping users work out anytime, anywhere. Users can also unlock achievement medals by completing sports challenges and goals.

Health Monitoring

The watch offers real-time heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, powered by improved algorithms for greater accuracy and 24/7 insights. It also tracks sleep quality with multiple sleep indicators and no-feel monitoring. For women, the watch includes menstrual cycle tracking, providing real-time period logs and future predictions with helpful reminders. The device also supports stress tracking, breathing exercises, and risk evaluation for blood pressure.

Smart Safety and Connectivity

The Family Health feature allows users to share their health data with friends or family through the Vivo Health app, enabling collaborative tracking and friendly competition. In emergencies, users can activate SOS Alarm Assist, which automatically shares their location when dialing emergency numbers.

The watch also supports networkless communication, enabling secure point-to-point messaging without needing a connected network—ideal for emergencies. Additionally, the dual-device connection feature allows simultaneous message alerts from both Vivo and iPhone devices.

Pricing and Availability

As for pricing, the Bluetooth version is priced at ¥799 for the Moonlight White, Night Black, Peach Pink, and Star Yarn Pink options, while the Bluetooth + Stainless Steel model is priced at ¥999. The eSIM variant starts at ¥999 for the Night Black and Moonlight White finishes, while the Stainless Steel eSIM version is priced at ¥1199.

The vivo Watch 5 e-sim variant will go on sale starting 2nd July 2025 in China.
