Xiaomi is expected to announce two foldable phones, namely the Xiaomi Mix Flip and the Mix Fold 4, this year for the Chinese market. The Fold 4 will be a horizontally foldable phone that will succeed the Mix Fold 3 from last year, whereas the Mix Flip will be the company’s vertically foldable phone. A new leak reveals that the company could be working on a third foldable phone for the home market.
According to tipster Wisdom Pikachu, Xiaomi is working on a low-priced foldable phone. Unfortunately, he did not share any information about the specifications of the device. The device could likely be equipped with underwhelming specs as compared to the Mix Fold 4. The affordable foldable phone from Xiaomi may likely rival the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Vivo X Fold 3, which is also said to be an affordable offering.
According to reports, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be equipped with a quad-camera system. The setup may include an LYT-900 50-megapixel camera and a periscope telephoto camera. It is most likely to support two-way satellite communication and run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. These features are unlikely to be available on the affordable foldable phone from Xiaomi.
As far as the Xiaomi Mix Flip is concerned, it is said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The device is also expected to feature a dual-camera system.
