Xiaomi 18 Pro Series launching on 23rd September in China; New details teased

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has been teasing a lot of new details related to its upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro series, and now the company has officially announced the launch date of this series and has also shared some of its new details.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Series will launch in China on 23^rd September at 19:00 (local time). The company will also launch a host of other new tech products at this event.

The upcoming series is teased to arrive with 5 comprehensive upgrades:

• The series will arrive with a 2nm flagship mobile platform made with a 2nm GAA process that is said to improve both performance and energy efficiency.
• It will be equipped with a Leica dual 200MP imaging system: a 200MP main camera and 200MP periscope telephoto lens.
• The series will be equipped with a new-generation SuperPixel screen. The all-new M11 luminescent system with all-new green luminescent materials provides higher brightness and lower power consumption.
• It boasts a dual-size 0.99mm ultra-narrow bezel screen design.
• The series arrives with a dual-size 32% ultra-high silicon Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery. The Xiaomi 18 Pro model is powered by a 7000 mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max model is powered by an 8500 mAh battery.

The series will arrive in Blue, Black and Starry River Blue colour options. It arrives with a completely flat unibody design featuring a new micro-arc quad-curved frame.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro series features a hardware-level privacy screen that includes two pixel types: privacy-protected pixels and non-privacy-protected pixels. With varying viewing angles, the pixels are arranged in a 1:1 staggered pattern. During daily use, all pixels are illuminated for flagship-quality display. When privacy mode is enabled, only the privacy-protecting pixels emit light, providing privacy when viewed from the side.

Xiaomi’s privacy screen, on the other hand, uses a native hardware solution and SuperPixel Technology, so each pixel has complete RGB sub-pixels regardless of whether privacy is enabled, resulting in a clear and sharp display.

Both Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max devices feature the M11 New Generation OLED light-emitting system. The new green light-emitting materials boost luminous efficiency by 20%, achieving an ultra-high peak brightness of 4000 nits, a full RGB lossless array, 1.5K power consumption, and clarity comparable to 2K.
