Xiaomi 17T Series 5G Launching Globally on May 28th, Officially Confirmed

The Xiaomi 17T series, which has been part of the rumour mill for quite some time now, is no longer just a rumour anymore, as the brand has now officially confirmed its global launch.

Xiaomi 17T Series Global Launch Officially Confirmed

As per the details shared via Xiaomi’s global official X handle, the Xiaomi 17T series is scheduled to launch globally on the 28th of May 2026. Apart from confirming the launch date, the brand has not officially teased any specifications of the upcoming smartphones yet; however, since the launch is now confirmed, more official teasers can be expected soon.

Looking into the details previously revealed via leaks and certifications, the series is expected to arrive with two smartphones, including the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro.

Speaking first about the vanilla Xiaomi 17T, the smartphone is said to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display offering 1.5K screen resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 internal storage. Battery-wise, the device is expected to pack a 6500mAh battery along with 67W HyperCharge support.

Coming to the camera specifications, the smartphone is tipped to feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Light Fusion 800 primary camera with f/1.77 aperture, a 50MP telephoto camera offering 5x optical zoom with f/1.8 aperture, and a 12MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it is expected to feature a 32MP selfie shooter. Connectivity-wise, the device is also tipped to support Wi-Fi 6E and NFC. Additionally, the smartphone is said to measure 8.17mm in thickness and weigh 200 grams, while running on the Android 16 operating system.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is expected to arrive with a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display featuring 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 internal storage.

The Pro variant is further said to pack a larger 7000mAh battery supporting 100W HyperCharge and 50W wireless charging. Camera-wise, the smartphone is tipped to feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Light Fusion 950 primary sensor with f/1.74 aperture, a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and f/1.8 aperture, along with a 12MP sensor featuring f/2.2 aperture. Similar to the vanilla variant, the Pro model is also expected to offer a 32MP front-facing camera. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone is tipped to support Wi-Fi 7 and NFC. The device is further said to measure 8.25mm in thickness and weigh 219 grams.

Coming to the revealed pricing details, the Xiaomi 17T with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is tipped to be priced at €749, while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant is said to be priced between €799 and €849. The Xiaomi 17T Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is expected to carry a price tag of €999.

As per the leaked details, both smartphones are expected to be offered in Blue, Black, and Purple colour options.
