Xiaomi 17T 5G India Variant Key Specs Teased Ahead of Launch; Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC, 6500mAh Battery Revealed

Ahead of its launch that has already been scheduled for next week in India, more updates concerning the Xiaomi 17T 5G smartphone have now been teased via its Amazon landing page. Details pertaining to its camera system, battery, processor, display certifications, and more have now been revealed.

Xiaomi 17T 5G – To Feature Leica Camera System, Dimensity 8500 Ultra Chipset, and 6500mAh Battery

As per the new details that have been shared, the Xiaomi 17T 5G smartphone will be breaking its cover in the Indian market with a Leica-powered camera system onboard. The device is teased to feature a Leica 5X Telephoto camera, and the brand has highlighted it with the tagline “Get closer to the moments that matter.” The camera UI teaser also reveals options such as Live Moment, 12.5M mode, 10x, 5x, 2x, 1x, and 0.6x zoom levels.

Speaking more, the Xiaomi 17T 5G will also be bringing Leica Live Moment and Leica Live Portrait features. Xiaomi has mentioned that “Now, Xiaomi and Leica make them live,” while for the portrait feature, the brand notes, “Not just how a person looks. How a moment feels.” The device is further teased with multiple photography styles, including Telemacro, Tele-Portrait, Ultra Zoom, and Tele-Stage. Sample details shared through the teaser mention Telemacro shots at 230mm, f/3.0, 1/299s, and ISO1600, while the Tele-Portrait sample is pointed out with 115mm, f/3.0, 1/50s, and ISO1000. Another teaser also mentions 115mm, f/3.0, 1/50s, and ISO800, along with 460mm, f/3.0, 1/118s, and ISO50, suggesting the presence of advanced zoom capabilities on the upcoming device.

Regarding the battery specs, the Xiaomi 17T 5G is confirmed to pack a 6500mAh Silicon-Carbon battery, and it will be supporting 67W HyperCharge fast charging. The teaser also carries the line “Long days. Longer nights. Still shooting,” suggesting that the device will be focusing on longer usage and camera performance.

Coming to its performance, the Xiaomi 17T 5G will be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. The brand has teased it with the tagline “Flagship power built to keep up with every frame,” while more details regarding its RAM and storage options are expected to be revealed soon.

Speaking more, the upcoming smartphone is also teased to arrive with four TÜV Rheinland certifications, and Xiaomi has claimed it to be the world’s first to offer them. These include TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution) certification, TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free certification, TÜV Rheinland Circadian Friendly certification, and TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care certification.

Just to add, the Xiaomi 17T 5G is also teased to feature a complete Leica camera system, which is claimed to be built to go beyond the distance. The brand has further mentioned that from concerts to wildlife, the Xiaomi 17T captures what others can’t. Regarding the launch, it will be taking place on the 4th of June 2026 in the Indian market.
