Vivo X200 Ultra and Vivo X200s Flagships Unveiled in China; Professional Photography Kit for Vivo X200 Ultra Also Released

At the recently held product launch event, Chinese smartphone maker – Vivo has officially unveiled two of its much awaited flagship products. Its iterative camera flagship – the X200 Ultra and the X200s flagship model were unveiled in China. The professional photography kit for the X200 Ultra smartphone was also released at the event.

Vivo X200 Ultra and Professional Photography Kit

The latest Vivo X200 Ultra flagship smartphone (model numbers – ‘V2454A’ and ‘V2454DA’) is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and it is coupled with LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It has the Android 15 based OriginOS 5 onboard, and is available in three storage options of 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.

A 6.82″ LTPO OLED 8T display is featured on the device, supporting 2K (3168 x 1440 pixels) resolution, 1Hz – 120Hz  refresh rate, 4500 nits peak brightness, and 2160Hz PWM dimming.

In terms of its cameras, at the rear it sports a 50MP main (LYT-818, VCS 2.0, OIS) + 50MP ultra wide (LYT-818) + 200MP periscope telephoto (Samsung S5KHP9, 3.7x zoom, OIS) triple camera system, and for selfies it equips a 32MP (Samsung S5KJN1) camera. Dedicated VS1 and V3+ chips are also present within the smartphone.

Regarding the battery, a 6000 mAh large battery is packed inside the device, and it supports 90W wired fast charging. Additionally, 40W wireless fast charging support is also there on the device.

Other key specs include 2G/3G/4G/5G network, kilometer-level network-free communication, satellite communication (for 16GB/1TB model), WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C Gen 3.2, IR blaster, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, laser auto focus, flicker sensor, aluminium alloy frame, IP68/69 rated body, 163.14 x 76.76 x 8.20 / 8.69 mm dimension, and 229 / 232 gm weight. The device comes in three colors – Black Ka, Red Circle, and Silver Tone.

About the professional photography kit, its notable key specs are the retro camera design, new one-click video recording button, stylish shoulder strap, built-in stand, 2300 mAh battery, and USB Type-C port. Speaking of the detachable lens accessory, a super telephoto lens is provided with 200 mm (pure optical) focal length (8.7x optical zoom equivalent), f/2.3 aperture, up to 35x high-clarity (800 mm) and 70x digital (1600 mm) zoom range, ZEISS co-engineered lens design with ZEISS T coating, Kepler design optics structure with 3 groups 13 high-transmittance glass lens elements, RMSC (Reflective Mirror Steering Camera) technology for advanced zoom control, and ZEISS Blue Badge label (true ZEISS-certified independent telephoto module).

Coming to the pricing details, Vivo’s X200 Ultra is priced at CNY 6499, CNY 6999, and CNY 7999 respectively for the 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB storage variants. The pre-order for the X200 Ultra smartphone is now live, and the official sale is scheduled to begin on the 29th of April 2025.

The smartphone’s professional photography kit is available for CNY 699 (Vivo X200 Ultra Professional Photography Kit ), CNY 1299 (Vivo ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Conversion Lens Kit), CNY 1699 (Vivo ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Conversion Lens Professional Photography Kit ), and CNY 9699 (16GB/1TB Photographer’s Edition).

Vivo X200s

The Vivo X200s flagship smartphone uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, and is integrated with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Android 15 based OriginOS 5 runs on the device, and it comes in 12GB/256GB, 16GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB storage choices.

For its display, it has a 6.67″ LTPS flat OLED (BOE Q10) display screen with 1.5K (1260 x 2800 pixels) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1600 nits HBM brightness support.

A triple camera unit housing a 50MP main lens (Sony IMX921, VCS 2.0, OIS), 50MP ultra wide lens (Samsung JN1), and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (Sony IMX882, 3x zoom) is present at the rear. For selfies, a 32MP front-facing camera has also been given.

The device is also backed by a 6200 mAh larger battery, and it offers both the 90W wired and 40W wireless charging features. Longer battery life and a faster charging experience can thus be expected on the device.

2G/3G/4G/5G network, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C 2.0, NFC, IR blaster, dual stereo speakers, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, X-axis linear motor, IP68/69 rated body, 160 x 74.3 x 7.99 mm dimension, and 203 / 205 gm weight are its other key specifications. Four colorways are available for the smartphone – Black, White, Mint Blue, and Lavender.

Speaking of its price details, it carries price tags of CNY 4199 (for 12GB/256GB), CNY 4399 (for 16GB/256GB), CNY 4699 (for 12GB/512GB), CNY 4999 (for 16GB/512GB), and CNY 5499 (for 16GB/1TB). After national subsidy, the respective pricing will be CNY 3699, CNY 3899, CNY 4199, CNY 4499, and CNY 4999. Chinese customers can now pre-order the device, and the official sale is set to go live on the 25th of April 2025.
