Vivo X Fold 6: More details officially revealed

The Vivo X Fold 6 features a newly upgraded four-microphone omnidirectional sound pickup system, with hardware-level enhancements to capture speeches from corners of the meeting room. Also, through Xiao V Note-Taking, it automatically recognises professional dictionaries from multiple fields and languages, significantly improving transcription accuracy by identifying homophones and obscure words.

This foldable smartphone will be the first to support an AI role-based summary function for different speakers, accurately identifying key roles and core conflicts. The AI insight feature will help you in analysing in real time what the key conclusions of the discussions are during a meeting, whether there are any risks to be aware of, and what implied meetings are being conveyed. The AI insight is combined with six types of meeting minutes summary templates, allowing for more efficient and faster recording of key meeting points.

The Vivo X Fold 6 smartphone comes with Blue Crystal x MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition SoC. This Super Edition chipset is revealed to be custom-developed specifically for large-screen foldable devices, and specifically designed to enhance multi-tasking, multi-threaded processing and multi-window rendering.

This chip boasts a 111% increase in peak NPU performance compared to its predecessor, while further optimising power consumption by 56%. MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition is revealed to be deeply adapted for the X Fold 6’s large screen and AI functions, delivering superior edge AI performance and a highly stable edge AI experience.

The system incorporates a larger and newer AI voice engine co-developed with the company; offline speech transcription speed is increased by a full 7 times, accuracy by 7%, and word summarisation speed by 57%. The AI File Manager’s long text AI reasoning capabilities are significantly improved, with text summarisation and AI Q&A speeds increased by 20%, and it’s the first to implement AI-themed Q&A capabilities. A highly efficient concurrent engine developed specifically for the Atomic Workbench further optimises power consumption in heavy-load scenarios, allowing for smoother operation of 4 or 5 apps simultaneously, switching windows, and dragging files.
