We have been hearing a lot about Vivo’s upcoming S series smartphone, which is expected to launch soon in India nearly seven years after the Vivo S1 made its debut in the country. Now, Vivo has officially confirmed the device’s Vivo S2 moniker and teased that it will soon be launched in the Indian market.

Vivo S2 – India Launch Officially Teased
As per the latest post shared by Vivo India on its official X handle, the brand is preparing to launch its Vivo S2 smartphone in India soon. The teaser reads, “For weekends that turn one plan into five, something is coming prepared. Stay tuned.”
While Vivo has officially confirmed the device’s moniker, the brand has not yet revealed its launch date or specifications.
Along with this, a dedicated microsite for the Vivo S2 has also gone live on Flipkart and Amazon India, confirming its availability through the e-commerce platforms. The microsite similarly does not reveal any of its specifications, however, it provides a glimpse at the design of the smartphone in a white colour option.
The device can be seen featuring a horizontally placed pill-shaped camera module at the top-left portion of its rear panel. The camera module houses two large circular camera cutouts and a third smaller circular element, which could be an LED flash or Vivo’s Aura Light. However, this has not yet been officially confirmed by the brand.
Both the microsites further mention that more details regarding the following key areas will be revealed soon:

- Immersive Audio-Visual Experience
- Stunning Photography and Videography
- Power-Packed Performance
Speaking more about its tipped details, tipster Abhishek Yadav previously revealed that the Vivo S2 could be offered in memory options of 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. Three colour choices of Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White were also tipped.
The tipster further shared that internal retail listings showed demo units carrying prices of INR 38,000 and INR 42,000 for the two memory options, respectively. Meanwhile, the internal retail price of the 8GB/128GB variant was reportedly listed as INR 43,000. It must be noted that these are only internal and demo-unit prices and may not represent the final retail pricing of the smartphone.
In a separate post on X, the same tipster claimed that the Vivo S2 could break cover in India on the 6th of August 2026, followed by its first sale on the 11th of August. However, Vivo has not yet officially confirmed these dates.
