Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Expected to Feature a 50MP 3x Telephoto Camera

Samsung has already unveiled its S23 series devices and the fourth smartphone of the series, the Galaxy S23 FE, is anticipated to arrive soon in markets. Now rumors and reports about the upcoming Galaxy S24 series have started to pop up and a recent report has pointed to one of the smartphones’ camera features.

Here’s more about it.

Galaxy S24 Ultra – 50MP 3x Telephoto Camera

The Galaxy S24 Ultra, one of the upcoming smartphones of the S24 series, as per reports, is likely to come featuring a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom capability. If we look into the camera setup of the already available S23 Ultra, the device has a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom support. Other than the telephoto camera, the S23 Ultra also sports a 200MP main camera, 10MP periscope telephoto camera(10x zoom), and a 12MP ultrawide camera.

Other updates

The upcoming S24 Ultra, unlike the other S24 series devices, has been tipped to have the same design as its predecessor and is likely to have a titanium frame instead of the aluminum frame used in the S23 Ultra. Samsung is also reportedly going to incorporate an electric vehicle battery technology into the smartphone, thereby helping the device to achieve a fast charge capability of upto 65W. The device is also expected to pack the same 5000 mAh battery itself.

To add, Samsung had a plan of bringing variable zoom capabilities to its S24 series devices as per what reports had revealed, but rumors have arrived stating that the company has dropped the plan and the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra is most likely to have the same quad camera setup at its rear.

The launch of the Galaxy S24 series is still a long way away and is expected to make its way to the market early next year, in the month of January or maybe in February. But even if this is the case, we can still expect some updates in the coming few months before its launch.
